Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced YouTube scriptwriter with a passion for creating compelling, informative, and engaging documentary and news-style content.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience writing scripts for YouTube channels, particularly in the documentary, news, or educational space.
• You should have a keen understanding of how to craft scripts that captivate and hold the audience's attention while maintaining a clear and factual narrative.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging, and fact-driven scripts for documentary and news-style videos
• Research and analyze complex topics to create informative, accurate, and well-structured content
• Collaborate with video producers, editorsto ensure the script aligns with video direction and objectives
• Adapt to different tones and styles depending on the project (e.g., serious, thought-provoking, or light-hearted)
• Ensure scripts are optimized for YouTube audiences, incorporating SEO best practices
• Meet deadlines and adapt to feedback, making revisions as necessary
• Stay updated on trends, current events, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience writing YouTube scripts, with a focus on documentary or news-style content
• Strong research skills and ability to analyze complex topics
• Proven ability to write in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
• Deep understanding of YouTube’s audience and video trends
• Familiarity with YouTube SEO and optimizing scripts for search visibility
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in journalism, documentary production, or news writing
• Knowledge of YouTube video production and how scripts integrate with visuals and pacing
• Ability to write scripts on diverse topics and in various genres.
