Job Title: Group Head, Risk and Compliance

Reports to: CEO

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Management:

    - Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and policies.

    - Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization.

    - Ensure risk management practices align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

2. Compliance Oversight:

    - Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

    - Develop and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and controls.

    - Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.

3. Leadership and Team Management:

    - Lead and manage a team of risk and compliance professionals.

    - Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance across the organization.

    - Provide guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members.

4. Strategic Risk Management:

    - Collaborate with senior management to integrate risk management into strategic planning.

    - Provide expert risk advice to support business decisions.

5. Reporting and Communication:

    - Prepare and present risk and compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.

    - Communicate risk and compliance issues, trends, and best practices across the organization.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Over 10 years of experience in Risk and Compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.

2. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.

3. Skills:

    - Strong leadership and team management skills.

    - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    - Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.

4. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CCEP) are desirable.
